Grand Island, Neb – November 7, 2024 – Raising Nebraska, the 25,000-square-foot education center dedicated to agriculture and science literacy in the state, is proud to announce the launch of its redesigned website. The website, designed by Outside Voice, has been crafted to better communicate Raising Nebraska’s offerings, enhance the user experience and expand Raising Nebraska’s mission of ag and science literacy.
This redesign marks a significant step forward as Raising Nebraska continues to empower visitors to connect with Nebraska agriculture in a meaningful way. Everyone from youth and families to adults, educators, and industry organizations, can easily find tailored information and resources on the new website, reflecting Raising Nebraska’s commitment to inclusivity and education. Key features of the new website include:
- Improved User Experience & Accessibility – The ADA-compliant design includes software that allows users to customize their experience for optimal readability. The mobile site has also been enhanced for a cleaner, more navigable design.
- The Almanac – Raising Nebraska’s new educational blog, The Almanac, is a rich resource that tells the story of Nebraska agriculture through original content, research, and insights from Raising Nebraska’s industry partners and commodity groups.
- Events Calendar – A new events calendar showcases regular programming and events hosted by Raising Nebraska and its industry partners, making it easy for users to register for upcoming activities.
- Meetings and Events – The website highlights Raising Nebraska as a unique venue for meetings and events within the agriculture industry. Visitors can explore the space and conveniently submit event requests.
“We’re excited about the redesigned site, which offers our audiences relevant, engaging resources tailored specifically to them,” said Sarah Polak, Experience Coordinator at Raising Nebraska. “With new features like The Almanac, which shares stories and insights from across Nebraska agriculture, we’re inviting everyone to deepen their understanding of this vital industry and expanding our reach in the digital space.”
Additional features, such as an interactive 360-degree virtual tour of the space, field trip information and request form, State Fair schedule, and educational resources provided by Raising Nebraska’s industry partners, are designed to make it easier for visitors to explore and engage with Nebraska agriculture.
Raising Nebraska’s education center is located on the state fairgrounds at Fonner Park in Grand Island and is free and open to the public Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
