Jordan Carfield to plant the seeds for growing educational impact
Raising Nebraska, the 25,000-square-foot education center dedicated to agricultural literacy in Grand Island, is proud to announce Jordan Carfield as its new Director of Experiences. In this role, Jordan will lead day-to-day operations and support Raising Nebraska’s robust calendar of educational programming throughout the year.
Jordan is a Nebraska native and recent graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where she earned a degree in wildlife biology. With a passion for agriculture and education, she brings fresh energy and exciting ideas to Raising Nebraska’s mission of helping visitors better understand where their food comes from and the science and innovation that are fundamental to farming and ranching in Nebraska.
“We are excited to welcome Jordan to the team,” said Kathleen Lodl, Associate Dean and State 4-H Program Leader at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. “Jordan brings a strong science background, a deep love for Nebraska, and a clear commitment to public engagement. Her enthusiasm for agricultural education and dedication to creating meaningful guest experiences make her a fantastic addition as we look to the future.”
“Raising Nebraska has been a trusted destination for youth and families across the state for more than a decade,” said Jordan Carfield. “I’m excited for the opportunity to build on that strong foundation and help expand our reach and impact across the state.”
Jordan officially began her role on May 19 and is already working to support Raising Nebraska’s upcoming programs and outreach events. Organizations and educators interested in partnering on educational programming at Raising Nebraska can reach out to Jordan using the contact information below:
