In this hands-on workshop, you will learn to make cheese from the woman who makes the cheese and ice cream at the UNL Dairy Store – Josie Houston. This workshop was originally going to be face-to-face, but by request, we will also be offering it as a livestreamed event! Join us in Grand Island or Online to learn how to make fresh cheese from an expert. If you are looking for a new cooking accomplishment in the pandemic, a fresh compliment to spring/summer produce, or a way to connect with old family traditions, cheese making has something for everyone.

This face-to-face and livestreamed workshop includes:

  • 1 hour of workshop time via Zoom video conferencing. You’ll receive the link after purchase. OR 1 hour of workshop time at Raising Nebraska.
  • Live, expert-led instruction on making homemade cheese
  • Fun facts about Nebraska’s Dairy Industry and the UNL Dairy Store
